Day-Date White Tag Guide
Modern Rolex Day-Date models include a factory white hang tag that records configuration details at time of sale. On contemporary Day-Date references, the last four digits on the white tag indicate the original dial code. This code can be used to help verify dial color and factory configuration as delivered by Rolex.
Where to Find the Dial Code on the White Tag
The white hang tag is provided with the watch at original retail delivery. The final four digits printed on the tag correspond to the dial code. Use this in conjunction with the reference number (e.g., 228238, 228235, 228239) and known dial characteristics to confirm originality.
